Earth Renaissance has followed a long path from its inception two years ago. We are now located in Berkeley, CA. Earth Renaissance will become a registered 501c3 non-profit this fall.

Earth Renaissance is transitioning a bit, focusing more on alternative education and community building, including the sharing of our dream for a sustainable college learning community.

Here are some of the revised goals of Earth Renaissance

• Provide a voice for sustainability, animal rights, and progressive creative expression
• Make extensive use of young artists, interns, and college students, giving them a chance to work on videos, blogs, podcasts, webpages, and political materials and campaigns for the environment and special causes.
• Teacher intern and graduate student led outreach to junior HS & HS students through special programs, paid for by grants and college aid assistance programs.
• Promote and host online other worthy groups efforts, including animal rights.
• Working with video and podcasting, create a performance troupe to promote environmental/sustainability/animal rights through a combination of news and entertainment, with the possible goal of weekly cable syndication, called the "Cosmic Road Show".

Philosophy:

Sustainability - What does that mean? For Earth Renaissance the question is "How do we learn to live in harmony with the earth, its creatures, and each other?"

Earth Renaissance exists in order to explore that question. We explore ideas and approches to living our lives in ways that are in harmony with the natural world, celebrate diversity, promote tolerance, and encourage sustainable communities.

Our intent is to create a large and comprehensive sustainability website, providing access to information and resources for the growing sustainability movement. We will offer original content, books, links, artwork, dialogue, alternative products, and bits of wisdom. Our focus is on positive ideas to allow for a better world, one piece at a time.
